A Tour of Our House
We’ve lived in our house in our village for over a year now, and it has really started to feel like home. Our house is nicer than most houses in our village, but has no electricity or running water. We use solar lights at night, bring in water by the bucket from the tank outside, and cook on a charcoal stove, three things that seemed like a hassle at first but that now are quite routine. The scenery around our house is gorgeous, the weather phenomenal, and we have learned how to sleep through the sounds of screaming children at 6:30 each morning as they arrive to school. Here’s a quick little tour for those of you who are curious as to what it is like.
